There is no single price — but there are clear factors that decide it. What to know before you ask for an estimate.
Two bars with the same number of taps can need very different systems. The cost of a commercial draft installation is driven by how far the beer travels, how it is kept cold and what is being poured.
The factors that set the price
- Number of faucets — and whether more will be added later
- Direct-draw or long-draw — kegs behind the bar, or a walk-in cooler some distance away
- Dispensing distance and route — how far, how high and through what the trunk line runs
- Cooling — air-cooled, or a glycol power pack and chilled trunk line
- Gas equipment — CO2, nitrogen, blenders and regulators
- Towers, faucets and components — materials and finish
- Installation complexity — new construction or renovation, access, coordination with other trades
Plan for the life of the system
The least expensive installation is not always the least expensive system. Component quality, serviceability and a design that suits your volume all affect what the system costs to run and maintain over the years.
Getting an accurate estimate
The most useful starting point is a site visit or a set of drawings showing the cooler and bar locations, the planned faucet count and the beverages you intend to serve. Draft Line Solutions provides customized estimates based on those project requirements.
